How's Your Head?
The Debut stand up hour from Aarian Mehrabani
Co-Writer and Creator of the multi award winning play "It's A MotherF**king Pleasure"
Aarian Mehrabani, co-writer and actor of the 2023 smash hit play “It’s a MotherF**king Pleasure” brings his debut hour of stand up to life.
Aarian captivates the audience with his distinctive wit and irreverence. Drawing on his experience as a triple threat — blind, brown, and bi, man— Aarian weaves a powerful narrative culminating in performing a full stand-up hour just one year after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
In the show he explores his relationship with each of his identities,, and how an aggressive and life threatening battle with brain cancer in 2024 forced him to reframe and reclaim them.
“"Aarian Mehrabani has naturally perfect comedic timing, and left me genuinely winded with laughter a couple of times...Pure genius...as close to perfection as you can get"
– Binge Fringe
"entirely charming...Funny, chaotic and wincingly relevant."
- The Spy in the Stalls

- Playbill

Other Thank Yous
-
The Lowry team. Particularly Antonia and Grace for being the first ones to have faith in me and my ability to transition into stand up
-
The Soho Theatre team for being so generous with their time and providing me invaluable advice and support. Particular thanks to David, Max and Lee.
-
Kyle Walace at G&B Comedy for providing an amazingly supportive room for me to try out and hone my material.
-
Of course, my Mum and Dad for their unwavering support and endless lifts to and from gigs.
-
And Tom, my friend from high school who may not remember. But in a conversation in the canteen in year 9, he made the audacious statement that he thought I’d be a great stand up comedian. Planting the seed in my head that resulted in all this.
